WOT (Web of Trust) is a plugin for Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Opera and Safari (for Windows), which adds security to browsing web sites, as noted in the presence of potential threats and phishing attempts or other types of fraud.

WOT warn handles by color (red, green and yellow) the degree of reliability of the sites that appear within the search listings on Google, Yahoo, Live Search, and other search engines. It also warns of dangerous links in Gmail, Windows Live Hotmail and Yahoo! Mail
More than 22 million websites have been evaluated and can see if they are suitable to be visited. It also warns of the presence of adult content on the pages, as it is often common searches may lead to such a site and there is an option to block them.
There are some antivirus like AVG which include a tool like this. Some can slow the browser while WOT is lightweight and agile.
