KeePass is a program that allows you to save and manage all passwords (passwords) that are necessary, securely.
Keepass to store passwords
Generally it is not easy to remember all the passwords that are used, and tend to save them in a text file, or use the browser option to remember, plus leave them accessible in the mail client, the FTP client, or the other applications, but in this way may be exposed to third parties. Nor is it advisable to use the same password for different accounts or use passwords that can be easily guessed or discovered.
KeePass can be the solution to this problem as it is a secure password manager which uses a database and stored in the same encrypted data. Algotitmos uses powerful encryption (AES and Twofish). Obviously, to recover passwords needed ingesar with a master key, but it’s one to remember.
The format in which data is stored can be exported to other formats such as TXT, XML or HTML among others, and is compatible with other key stewardship programs, both to import and to export data.
This program can also be used to generate passwords “strong”, ie words that are almost impossible to obtain through programs that use brute force algorithms.
This new version features as the ability to set the auto sequence to be applied for a given input, the corresponding form in Access. For example, {USER} {TAB} {PASSWORD} {ENTER} means you must complete the user name stored in the database, followed by the Tab key (to move to the next field on the form), followed by password and then press “Enter” to send the data.
Keepass 2.20.1 is the latest version, updated in September 2012, this software can be downloaded for free and is also Open Source (GPL). The program is portable, so you can run from a USB stick and transfer to use on other PCs, with the advantage that by not typing passwords, you can prevent theft them if you have a keylogger installed.
